Onee-Chan and Onii-Chan

I have a sister and a brother. Onee-chan, my sis, is 9 years older than me. My brother, Onii-chan, is only 7 years older. What's weird is, I grew up not being that close to them. Age gap might be a factor, since they would've been teenagers by the time I was old enough to annoy them.

(For those who don't know, Onee-chan is Japanese for older sister, and Onii-chan for older brother. Anime and manga is some kind of part of family history, so yeah...)

I'll talk about Onee-chan first. Onee-chan is currently living abroad and only comes home about once a year. I plan to study in the same country, taking advantage of her being there. Onee-chan studied culinary and works in a restaurant now. We always have a list of what we want her to cook when she comes home. The list always includes pasta, sometimes pho too. Sometimes I help her cook too, though it's clear that y cooking skills is far under hers.

Onee-chan is a very social person. She is the type that hangs out, unlike me. She has many friends and keep them close in a long lasting relationship. She's still close to her high school friends, although she graduated about 8 years ago and has been abroad since then. Somehow, she also has friends from our home country who happens to also like the same Japanese singers. They had a gathering earlier this year when Onee-chan comes home.

Onee-chan is a fun person. She shows me fun stuff when she's home. It can be anime-related, even the said Japanese singers' shows. After two years of being shown those singers, I memorised some of their songs. Unintentionally. Because she shows me these things, however, I know what she likes. I can give her cards like christmas cards. She posts one of my cards on lj once too!

Made these with Onee-chan!

On the other hand, I don't know Onii-chan as much as Onee-chan. Onii-chan is more like me in some ways, keeping to himself and hardly hang outside his room at home. I know because he lives here with us. He used to study abroad too, but encountered problems and eventually decided to go home. Now he's working somewhere near home in a VR app developer company, among the first ones in my country.

Oddly enough, even though we live in the same house, we really get close fairly recently, on this year's Chinese New Year to be exact. Our parents were away and we didn't go out of town like we usually do, so we spend time together that day. It really feels like we have't seen each other in years! It's kinda weird, considering we're related by blood.

Made this with Onii-chan!

Onii-chan is really nice though. He lets me play his Play Station, even saying that I can ask him to buy any game that I want! I haven't got any game that I want but he doesn't, though. Well, I guess it can be a good thing too, since he wouldn't be wasting much of his money for games that I wouldn't play that often. Oh, Onii-chan will also buy the upcoming Kingdom Hearts game! Yay!

Onii-chan can draw really well. He studied animation, in fact. Onii-chan once won a drawing contest of some sort, and got a Gundam action figure (or whatever you call it, I really don't know. Oh, right, he likes Gundam! He draws Gundam too, sometimes. My mother and I give him a Gundam stuff for his graduation, and I can tell that he's very happy!

I love my siblings, although we aren't that close to one another. They are both great in their own way, and the best thing is we get along well. We might not be the best siblings, but we love each other in our own way, I guess...

Okay, so that's for now. Might post game related stuff next. See ya!
